Andrey Nedosekov is appointed a Manager of JSC GLONASS

The team of GLONASS UNION compliments Andrey Nedosekov on his appointment to the position of General Manager of a newly established JSC GLONASS. For the successful development of ERA-GLONASS system, it is crucial that the position of General Manager will belong to a manager who has a solid working experience in the field of transport. The appointment of Andrey Nikolayevich is undoubtedly a positive sign for the whole field.

On June 3, the Federal Property Management Agency ("Rosimushchestvo") signed an order on establishing a joint-stock company GLONASS. The sole founder of the JSC is the Russian Federation represented by "Rosimushchestvo". The company's General Manager is Andrey Nikolayevich Nedosekov, who previously worked as a Deputy Minister of Transport, was the Head of Industry and Infrastructure Department of the Government of Russian Federation, and a Deputy Director of the Presidential Department on State Council operation.

JSC GLONASS will have to maintain and develop the newly established system of emergency response in case of accidents called ERA-GLONASS, which has been put to industrial operation since January 1, 2015.

Moreover, the 16 members of the Board of Directors of OJSC GLONASS have been chosen. Among them are Andrey Nedosekov, the Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov, the Deputy Minister of Communications Dmitriy Alkhazov, the President of "AvtoVAZ" Bo Andersson, the Head of "Roscosmos" (Federal Space agency of the Russian Federation) Igor Komarov, the General Manager of "Russian Space Systems" Andrey Tyulin, the assistant of Dmitriy Rogozin – A. Zaikin, Deputy Managers of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and other public officials. The Board's nonexecutive directors are Aleksander Gurko, the President of GLONASS UNION, the Director of the Industry Development Fund Aleksey Komissarov.
