ERA-GLONASS system successfully cooperates with MRE-112

GLONASS Union and Federal State Budgetary Institution of Research Institute of Civil Defense and Emergencies of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted successful test trials interfacing of the State Automated Information System ERA-GLONASS with uniform special software of 112 system (MRE-112 (Modular Reconfigurable Equipment)). Test trials conducted confirmed the full functionality of interfacing: an emergency call from the ERA-GLONASS system reached MRE-112, composition of data transmitted from the ERA-GLONASS system and reflected in the card of information exchange MRE-112 has been confirmed, establishment of voice connection has been provided, information about the measures of responding to emergency call has been transmitted to ERA-GLONASS system.

MRE-112 is a software providing execution of the tasks of the system-112 in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, developed by request of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry. MRE-112 will be transferred to the subjects of the Russian Federation free of charge and will simplify the procedures for installing and updating the system-112, as well as reduce the costs of budgets of Russian constituent entities.

ERA-GLONASS system is a federal state territorially distributed automated information system for emergency response, which provides operative receipt of an information on traffic and other accidents on the roads of the Russian Federation formed in uncorrectable form on the basis of using signals of the global navigation satellite system of the Russian Federation, processing of this information, its storage and transmission to emergency response services.

The main objective of ERA-GLONASS system is the survival and health of victims of road traffic and other accidents on the roads of the Russian Federation. The device for calling emergency response services of ERA-GLONASS system installed in the vehicle allows making an emergency call in manual or automated mode, which after processing is redirected to the system for calling emergency response services on a single number "112" of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation or to territorial authorities of the Russian Interior Ministry to provide emergency response services response.
