FSUE "NIIR" will carry out tests of ERA- GLONASS units

The test center FSUE Radio research and Development Institute (NIIR) is accredited for certification testing automotive components, providing satellite navigation and calling emergency response services. Earlier, the institute was certified by the Federal Agency for accreditation as a body for products certification.

The ERA- GLONASS system was introduced into commercial operation in 2015. From January 1,  all the new car models for the first time passing the type approval procedure in the territory of the EAEC shall be equipped with the ERA-GLONASS devices in accordance with the requirements of technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled vehicles" (TR CU 018/2011). To test compliance with the requirements of technical regulations, the ERA- GLONASS device must pass the test and certification procedure. Since the beginning of 2015, the tests of ERA- GLONASS terminals are carried out by the laboratory "ERA" of ANO "STs-Svyaz'-certificate."
