GLONASS Union and Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) “NAMI” will develop the industry of vehicles with intelligent systems

The Federal network operator of navigation technologies Non-Commercial Partnership “GLONASS Union” announces a new stage of cooperation with FSUE “NAMI”.

The cooperation agreement, that will join efforts for the development of the transport sector with intelligent systems, was signed by the CEO of FSUE “NAMI” Sergei Gaysin and the president of GLONASS Union Alexander Gurko.

Within the AutoNet market development plan, the parties will work together in the development of the transport sector with intelligent systems, including autonomous cars with navigation technologies and services. One of the main goals of this cooperation is to generate proposals for correcting and reforming the current Russian active legislation, including legal regulation and technical regulation.

The partners are also planning to participate in generation of the international, national and interstate standards, of developments in the UNECE Regulation as for the vehicles, that are equipped with the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and automation control systems.

“As part of our cooperation we have to generate infrastructure requirements of the autonomous cars functioning and their interaction with the different systems’ infrastructure and with other road users.

The important task is to create testing zones and to realize tests for the interaction of the autonomous car with the car and the autonomous car with the infrastructure,” says the CEO of FSUE "NAMI" Sergei Gaysin.
