THE PREMIER MINISTER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION DMITRY MEDVEDEV TOLD ABOUT THE ROAD MAP "AUTONET" AT THE MEETING ON THE ELECTRIC AND UNBREAKABLE TRANSPORT DEVELOPMENT IN RUSSIA

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich,  Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov, Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, co-director of the AVTONET working group NTI, the President of GLONASS UNION Alexander Gurko, General Director of GAZ Vadim Sorokin, General Director of PJSC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin. The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects of electric and unmanned vehicles in Russia.

Medvedev in his introduction noted that ten years ago conversations on this topic looked almost fantastic, or at least something very distant. Now this rapidly becoming reality, which will seriously change both: the economic and social landscape, also will in general change, perhaps, some philosophical ideas. That is why we see both electromotion and no driver transport as one of the main directions for the development of Russian engineering.

The introduction of such advanced technologies opens new opportunities for urban planning, to improve the environmental situation. We should use these innovations to the maximum for economic growth, for the development of the social sphere. We need to ensure that new types of cars from technological luxuries turn into practical mass transport, to promote them, so that everyday life of people becomes more convenient and safer.

«We will continue to support this work, including budget financing. This year the Government grants 600 million rubles to subsidies to Russian manufacturers of vehicles with remote and autonomous control …», - said Medvedev.

Co-Head of the Working Group on the Development and Implementation of the «AUTONET» Roadmap, the President of GLONASS UNION Alexander Gurko noted that in the nearest future the updated Road Map will be developed. One of the primary tasks of the updated working group on the development and implementation of the Autonet Roadmap for the National Technological Initiative (Autonet 2.0) is to bring the existing regulatory and technical regulations to a level conducive to the introduction and development of new technologies such as V2X, ADAS as well as new business models that meet the needs of end users.
