Transas has won the tender for the supply of radionavigation equipment for the newest dredger being built in Europe

Transas together with the Belgian dredging company Jan De Nul Group and the Croatian Uljanik Shipyard are implementing a project for the construction of a self-propelled dredger with the cutter head.

Transas has won the tender held by the Croatian shipyard and was approved for the supply of navigation and communication systems for the new dredger. The package includes the GMDSS communication equipment, radars, electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS) Navi-Sailor 4000 and other modern equipment for the safe and efficient navigation.

Transas Navigator (a company within the Transas Group) CEO Dmitry Lagutin said: "We are pleased with the invitation Transas for participating in this project and we are confident that the delivered systems will meet the most stringent customer requirements. The project continues our successful cooperation with Uljanik Shipyard and Jan De Nul Group: by their order this spring Transas has already begun a work on a multi-purpose cable laying vessel. Moreover, it is gratifying to note that this is the tenth vessel under construction equipped by Transas at the Uljanik Shipyard».

Under the contract Transas will supply all the equipment for the ship in 2016 and then start the installation and commissioning. Construction will be implemented under the supervision of the international classification society Germanischer Lloyd SE (Germany).
