GLONASS Union held a follow-up meeting on certification of ERA-GLONASS devices

On April 23, a meeting on the certification of ERA-GLONASS devices/systems and vehicles equipped with devices/systems ERA-GLONASS for compliance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled vehicles "(TR CU 018/2011) took place at the IX International Forum of the navigation.

Specialists of the GLONASS Union, "Svyaz-sertifikat" certification center, NAMI Testing Center, representatives of the leading equipment manufacturers and automakers attended the meeting.

At the end of the previous meeting, which was held in March 2015, the GLONASS Union received more than 150 proposals for the improvement of standards and test methods of emergency response devices/systems from automakers and device manufacturers. Suggestions and comments focused on various areas, including the terminology issues, requirements for climatic and physical impact resistance, electromagnetic compatibility, hands-free provision, as well as methods of functional testing of emergency response devices/systems.

It was decided that formed Summary of comments on the proposals in the field of certification of ERA-GLONASS devices will be presented to the participants for the next meeting, which will take place at the end of May 2015. Proposals will be considered in the development of interstate standards for emergency response devices/systems. In 2015, specialists of GLONASS Union will develop and submit projects of 8 interstate standards for public discussion.

Non-profit partnership GLONASS meets regularly to discuss the current state of certification of ERA-GLONASS devices/systems and plans of action in Russia. Meeting participants are working together in order to develop test procedures, the effective resolution of emerging issues and further improvement of the normative-technical certification framework.
