GLONASS UNION AND “ALL RUSSIAN EVACUATORS” HAVE SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT

GLONASS Union and IIDF start-up graduate "All Russian evacuators" signed an agreement on October 1 in the course of V International Congress "ERA-GLONASS". The parties will work together providing services of technical assistance on the roads both to the car manufacturers that offer such service to warranty cars, and to the vehicle owners who might need assistance upon the road.

The All Russian evacuators project will enable to enter into agreements with car manufacturers for the provision of "roadside assistance" service on the basis of the ERA-GLONASS system infrastructure. In case of concluding an agreement the service will be provided for the vehicles within warranty service.

The All Russian evacuators service will also act as a contractor for the provision of technical assistance and evacuation services for those drivers who are in a difficult situation on the road. When processing the emergency call, the ERA-GLONASS call center operator may clarify whether a driver needs towing services, and if so, convey this information to the All Russian evacuators system, and then transfer the call to the emergency services to organize the respond.

Further, having received the information card from the ERA-GLONASS system, the All evacuators system operator confirms the call for specialized equipment and gives the parameters of the order via voice communication.

The interoperability of the ERA-GLONASS emergency response system and the All Russian evacuators service testing was successfully completed in June 2014. They confirmed the possibility of automated dispatch of evacuation request and technical assistance from the ERA-GLONASS system to the All evacuators control center.

"Working together with All Russian evacuators - is the first example of a valid commercial service based on the ERA-GLONASS infrastructure", said Alexander Gurko, President of GLONASS Union. "Besides, we are extending the capabilities to assist drivers on the Russian roads. Now not only they can get a timely help from the operational services but also, if they wish to, call for an evacuator or technical assistance vehicle using the "ERA-GLONASS" system.
