Russian Space Systems and Rostelecom create new domestic geographical information systems
JSC "Russian Space Systems" (RCC, enters the ACCD) and PJSC "Rostelecom" have agreed to cooperate in developing and promoting geoinformation-analytical products to corporate, government and consumers. The agreement was signed by the parties during the international aerospace show MAKS-2015, taking place these days in Zhukovsky, Moscow region.
Within the framework of this agreement, "Rostelecom" plans to provide services to the telecommunications and computing infrastructure for the collection, storage and processing of spatial data, including those obtained from satellites of remote sensing of Russian orbital group, as well as to expand the opportunities of geo-information services offered to corporate and government clients. The parties also agreed on the use of the available at the "Rostelecom" an extensive network of sales channel, experience in marketing and support of knowledge products for the promotion of new developments in the market.
RCS uses its achievements and experience with data obtained from satellites of remote sensing (RS), to be shared with "Rostelecom" the creation of new geoinformation analytical systems and services for use in agriculture, forestry, water management, and many other socio-economic areas.
