The ERA-GLONASS equipment has passed tests in passenger transportation

The SpaceTeam company together with Pavlovo Bus Plant (PAZ) have tested the ERA-GLONASS equipment in a passenger transportation. As a part of a complex program they tested the functionality of the onboard terminal named "Granit Navigator" for the transmission of the telematics data (vehicle location, direction and speed) and the rapid call to 1-1-2. According the test results the functioning of equipment was considered as correct.

The SpaceTeam's navigation and communication equipment designed to meet high requirements which demands to ERA-GLONASS equipment: protection of a telematics data, supporting the data exchange protocol, plugs location etc. In accordance to the ERA-GLONASS standards the transmission of the accident fact to emergency services must be done based on state standards and technical regulations. For an enhanced data protection the transmission supports SSL and HTTPS.

The ERA-GLONASS System will be put into operation since the beginning of 2015. According to the Custom Union Technical Regulation "Wheeled Vehicles Safety" since January 1st 2015 the presence of ERA-GLONASS equipment will required for all new vehicles, which for the first time undergo conformity assessment in the form of type approval. Since January 2016 – for all newly introduced models of intended for passenger transportation, transport of hazardous cargo and garbage trucks. Since January 2017 it will be required for all categories of newly introduced vehicles intended for sale in the Custom Union territory.
